SAA hosts Cal Ripken Tourney July 27
Springfield AA 12U Blue tournament team is hosting the Cal Ripken Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament at Netherwood Fields.
Opening Ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, July 27 at 4 p.m.
Former Philadelphia A’s pitcher Bobby Shantz, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Shantz was the American League MVP in 1952 with a record of 24-7. He also had a brief career with the Phillies.
The Cal Ripken Regional Tournament will run through Monday, Aug. 1 with the championship game played on that date at 11 a.m.
