Springfield softball gals clinch U10 playoff spot

The U10 girls travel softball team clinched a playoff spot with an 8-3 win over Briarcliffe on June 28. Team members are Abby Aughe, Danielle Baun, Sabrina Betts, Angelina Brown, Olivia Dumont, Jordan Galloway, Alexis Heckman, Kristen Kutufaris, Megan Mackey, Mya McGann, Lanie Morris, Emily Reardon, Victoria Ryan, and Kathleen Walters. Coaches are Nick Kutufaris, Bonnie Stritzinger, and Bob Dumont.

Springfield Sparks flew in Beach Blast Tournament

The U9 Girls Springfield Sparks competed in their first Beach Blast Tournament in Wildwood, N.J., on June 23 and 24. Springfield's U10 Girls ‘Sizzled’ on the beach

The U10 Girls Springfield Sizzle completed their year by competing in Beach Blast in Wildwood, N.J. on June 23 and 24. The team finished 2-1 in the tournament, which was one point shy in the standings from reaching the finals. Team members are (first row) Aidan Gallagher, Erin Gormley, Sophia Carlin, (second row) Natalie Bruinsma, Carli Johnston, Dana Mirigliano, Meghan Cull, Sammi Ciano, Julia Carlin, Emma Whitaker, Lexi Chiarlone, Gia Panichelli and Bria Hemphill.

Springfield Fossils competed in tourney

Coaches and parents of Springfield Travel Soccer teams formed an adult co-ed team to compete in Beach Blast in Wildwood. Competing under the name of the Springfield Fossils, the team went 1-2 in their debut in the tournament.
