Notre Dame senior named Basketball Player of the Year by Markward Club

Megan McGurk, of West Chester and a senior at the Academy of Notre Dame, was selected as the high school basketball Player of the Year at the annual Markward Club awards dinner on March 27. The Markward Club is the oldest basketball club in the city of Philadelphia. 

McGurk finished her high school career with 1,466 points, ranking as the second highest scorer in the history of Notre Dame. She has accepted a Division I scholarship to Bucknell University. McGurk was a four-year starter at Notre Dame, and she was All Inter-Ac for four years.
