Girls U-14 "Blazed" Through Tournament
The Springfield Blaze Girls U-14 team landed the championship in their division during a two-day tournament held at Morey’s Piers on the Wildwood beach. The girls played two games on Saturday, July 17, and two on Sunday, July 18. The girls won all their games including the final game for the championship against the Coventry Wildcats. The team was led by coach Nelson Santana.This is one of the only Beach Lacrosse Tournaments in the world. This tournament gives lacrosse players of all ages a chance to enjoy the game in a new and exciting way. Teams from all over the East Coast and beyond compete on the beaches of Wildwood, N.J. as well as enjoy the water parks and beach during the day and the famous Wildwood boardwalk and amusements in the evening.
