Springfield girls three-peat cross country

Francie McNally led the Springfield girls to their third consecutive sweep of a Central League Meet defeating Penncrest and Upper Darby at Rose Tree Park. Christina Smith finished fourth, followed by Mary Galligan finishing sixth, Julie Marrow seventh and Shannon Duffy tenth, completing the scoring for Springfield. Later in the week, the girls competed in the Delco Championships at Rose Tree Park. McNally (right) finished 14th and Smith finished 19th. The Springfield girls team finished fifth overall.
