Kiera Wadsworth set a pool record to lead Ridley Park to the title at the 14th annual Ridley Cup swim meet at Nassau Swim Club Sunday.
Wadsworth set the mark for the 12-and-under girls individual medley with a time of 1 minute, 38.65 seconds. Megan Burns of De La Salle set the record last year. Wadsworth also won the freestyle event.
Also, Connor O’Prey set a Nassau Swim Club record in the boys 18-under 100 IM. His time, 1:23.47, topped Mike Humes’ mark that stood for 26 years. O’Prey also was first in the breaststroke.
Ridley Park won the event for the fifth time with 576 points. Nassau (487) was second, followed by Ridley Township (434) and Aquatic (319).
The double winners for Ridley Park were: Ricky VanVladricken (12-under IM and back), Kevin Tanzosh (8-under back and free), Justin Monaghan (12-under breast and free), Mitchell Cardow (12-under fly and relay), Nicole Brestowski (18-under IM and relay), Brianna Celotto (14-under fly and relay), Allison Cardow (14-under IM and freestyle), Jen Cardow (8-under fly and relay) and Erin Lynch (12-under fly and relay.
The double winners for Nassau were: Joe Hulsey (10-under back and freestyle), Shane Bonner (18-under back and freestyle) and Tara O’Prey (18-under breaststroke and free).
Zack Anderson (8-under fly and breaststroke) and Quinton Beck (14-under IM and breaststroke) were the double winners for Ridley Township.
