Media Softball highlights and scores

The Rosemont Pharmacy Stars defeated Forwood & Christie Orthodontics 11 - 3. The Stars were led by a 3-run triple by Agnes Freind, as well as multi-RBI singles from Madison Ruggieri and Jordan Schuller in the first inning. Despite a double play in the third inning from Forwood and Christie pitcher Kaiva Hinkle, and strong hitting from Sophie Bolinger and Tori Baum, Forwood and Christie were no match for Stars’ defensive plays by Julia Randazzo, Colleen Boyle and Freind.

Ron Calabrese Marble & Tile defeated Media Police Association 16-11. For Calabrese, Cassidy Spencer, Jenn Glace and Lauren Pastalone were all 3-3. For Media Police, Lindsay DeMuth had a double and Devon Mingey had a great game behind the plate.

The Rosemont Pharmacy Stars defeated Suburban Overhead Doors 10 - 5. It was an exciting game, coming down to the last inning to break a tie and determine a winner. For the Stars, Julia Randazzo led the offense with a double, followed by Lauren Magnarelli with an RBI single, and Madison Ruggieri who also had a single. Strong defensive fielding from Rebecca Kandrak and Annamarie Palermo contributed to the Stars win, as did strong pitching from Randazzo, Grace Grassi and Agnes Freind. For Suburban, Erica Verderame went 3-3 and scored 2 runs; Claudia Fadgen and Carly Baillis each had two hits and 2 RBIs each.

Ron Calabrese Marble & Tile defeated D. Pileggi & Son 20-11. For Calabrese, Lauren Pastalone had a grand slam and Taylor Mitchell was 4-4. For Pileggi. Lauren Welsh went 5-5 and Dominica Pileggi was 4-4.
