Haverford College strength and conditioning coach Cory Walts will direct the Performance Plus training camps June 21-24 and June 28-July 1 on the Haverford campus.
The camps, open to students entering grades 10 through freshman year in college, will provide athletes with a fundamental training base that will improve their overall athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury. In addition to physical training, the camp program features daily sessions on the recruiting process to help high school athletes navigate their way through the college admissions and marketing process.
Daily sessions will feature exercises and drills to improve speed, agility, strength, power and overall body coordination. Sessions will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each evening and will take place in Haverford’s state of the art athletic facilities including the Arn and Nancy Tellem Fitness Center, the newly constructed Swan Field and the newly refurbished Gary Lutnick Tennis and Track Center.
Cost for the camp is just $175 per week or $125 if registered in a group of 5 or more. More information, including a camp registration form, is available on the Performance Plus website at http://performance-plus.org/. For more information contact Walts directly at cwalts@haverford.edu or call 610-795-7014.
