Delco divers earn high honors with Delaware Riptide Diving Club

The Delaware Riptide Diving Club finished their 2009-2010 season as they competed in the 2010 Blue Dolphin Meet in Ewing, New Jersey on May 23rd. All 6 divers who competed for Riptide earned high honors by placing top in their individual events. The team practices at the University of Delaware under the direction of Head Coach Peter Metrinko. The team is Mike Proietto (Aston, Pa., 14-15 Boys 1-Meter Junior Olympic Champion), Bryan Moriarity (Kennett, 14-15 Boys 1-Meter Novice Champion), Erin Desmond (Delaware, 9 & Under Girls 1-Meter Junior Olympic Champion), Rachel Cotton (Media, Pa., 14-15 Girls 1-Meter Junior Olympic 5th place finisher), Brittany Meola (Kennett, Pa., 14-15 Girls 1-Meter Novice Silver Medalist), and Christopher Prugh (Swarthmore, Pa., 12-13 Boys 1M Novice Champion). Mike Proietto and Erin Desmond also qualified for the AAU National Meet in July.
